Going back in life?

In life there is no going back.
The road lies straight ahead.

You can't return along the track to see out what has past.

You can't undo your past mistakes; even wishing to do so is

 in vain.

But in between all this; Don't forget that you can always try
 again..

Correct Calculation

We cannot simply accept that part of the scripture we like, and reject what we don't like, and still expect to get the result. If you miss one point, there is a mistake in your calculation. Regardless of what you add or subtract after that, the mistake is already in the calculation, and everything that follows will also be faulty. so try to find the original mistake and fix it. If you address the root of the issue you will easily be overcoming all problems.

For example, a hen lays eggs with its back part and eats with its beak. A farmer may consider, "The front part of the hen is very expensive because I have to feed it. Better to cut it off." But if the head is missing there will be no eggs anymore, because the body is dead. Similarly, if we reject the difficult part of the scriptures and obey the part we like, such an interpretation will not help us. We have to accept all the injunctions of the scripture as they are given, not only those that suit us.

Listening Advice

When talking to others, lean forward to show the other person that you are interested in what they have to say. Sitting up or with a straight back gives off the impression that you are not interested in what they are saying. Next time try leaning forward and you will be amazed at the electricity it will create.

Story: Respect follows service

A dervish was once sitting alone, meditating in a patch of desert. A ruler passed by. The dervish, being free from the cares of this world, neither lifted his head nor paid any attention. The ruler, with the violent pride of power, was furious and said: "These dervishes in their patched cloaks are no better than animals!"

His minister scolded the dervish and said: "The great ruler of all the world passed by and you did not stand and bow: why were you so rude?"

The dervish replied: "Tell your king to expect those people to bow who hope for some reward from him. Tell him that rulers are there to protect their people. The people were not created just to obey rulers. The ruler is the watchman of the poor, though he has greater wealth and glory. The sheep are not made for the shepherd, rather the shepherd is there to serve the sheep. Look around you: today you see one man carefree and successful, the other struggling sore-hearted to survive. Wait a day or two, and see how the earth devours the brain once troubled with so many foolish thoughts! When the irresistible decrees of Fate are issued, neither king nor slave remain. Open up the tomb and search these dusty bones: can you tell which was the rich man or which was the pauper?"

The ruler was struck by the words of the dervish. He said: "Ask me a favour!"

The dervish replied: "I would ask you to never disturb me again."

The king begged: "Give me a word of advice!"

The dervish replied: "Now that wealth is in your hands, realize before it is too late, that this wealth and this power pass from hand to hand."

Forgive and Forget

This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind.

We often develop ill feelings inside our heart for the person

who insults us or harms us.

We nurture grievances.

This in turn results in loss of sleep,

development of stomach ulcers,

and high blood pressure.

This insult or injury was done once,

but nourishing of grievance goes on forever

by constantly remembering it

Get over this bad habit.

Believe in the justice of God.

Let Him judge the act of the one who insulted you.

Life is too short to waste in such trifles.

Forgive, Forget, and march on.

Love flourishes in giving and forgiving

  4. Stop talking and start listening.
  5. Study the best "balancing acts" you can find.
  6. Place your stature in context
  7. Identify the motive for self-aggrandizement.
  8. Learn to laugh at yourself
  9. When you've offended or embarrassed someone, apologize.
  10. Associate with many different kinds of people.
  11. Serve the downtrodden.
Become a servant leader

'World's First' Portable Printer from HP

By Agam Shah, IDG News

Hewlett-Packard on Wednesday announced the OfficeJet 150 Mobile All-in-One portable printer, which the company called the world's first mobile multifunction device that can "print, copy and scan on the go."

HP hopes to provide a printer, copier and scanner that users can carry on the road, just like laptops. At 6.8 pounds (3 kilograms), the multifunction device is lighter than stationary inkjets, making it easy to move inside homes or between work sites. The printer measures 13.98 by 6.95 by 3.52 inches (350 by 171 by 90 millimeters).

While the OfficeJet 150 is a breakthrough in design, the all-in-one feels as bulky as a high-end gaming laptop, and may not be practical to carry to work on a daily basis. The device is priced at US$399, which is relatively high compared to HP's standard all-in-one inkjet multifunction devices, which are available starting at under $100. The OfficeJet 150 will start shipping worldwide this month.

The printer is targeted at mobile professionals such as contractors or insurance agents who need mobile printers as they move between locations, said Eric Killian, a product manager for printing at Hewlett-Packard. The multifunction device is also easier to share among multiple computers at home.

The all-in-one comes with a lithium-ion battery that allows users to print up to 500 pages on a single charge. The printer uses standard cartridges and print costs are roughly $0.12 per color page and $0.05 per non-color page, Killian said. The printer can print five black-and-white pages per minute, and three-and-a-half color pages per minute.

The OfficeJet 150 has a 2.36-inch color touchscreen to manage printing, scanning and copying. The device can print from Windows Mobile and Blackberry mobile devices via a Bluetooth 2.0 wireless connection. Printing from Apple devices such as the iPad or iPhone on the mobile printer is not yet possible, Killian said, adding that he could not comment on when it would become available. Some HP printers are able to print from Apple devices.

HP has designed a special bag in which the printer can be fitted, which is available separately for $89.99.

Story of Alexender - The Three Wishes

There is very instructive incident involving the life of Alexander, the great Greek king.
Alexander, after conquering many kingdoms, was returning home. On the way, he fell ill and it took him to his death bed. With death staring him in his face, Alexander realized how his conquests, his great army, his sharp sword and all his wealth were of no consequence.
He now longed to reach home to see his mother's face and bid her his last adieu. But, he had to accept the fact that his sinking health would not permit Him to reach his distant homeland. So, the mighty conqueror lay prostrate and pale, helplessly waiting to breathe his last. He called his generals and said, "I will depart from this world soon; I have three wishes, please carry them out without fail." With tears flowing down their cheeks, the generals agreed to abide by their king's last wishes.
"My first desire is that," said Alexander, "My physicians alone must carry my coffin." After a pause, he continued, "Secondly, I desire that when my coffin is being carried to the grave, the path leading to the graveyard be strewn with gold, silver and precious stones which I have collected in my treasury.
"The king felt exhausted after saying this. He took a minute's rest and continued. "My third and last wish is that both my hands be kept dangling out of my coffin." The people who had gathered there wondered at the king's strange wishes. But no one dare bring the question to their lips. Alexander's favourite general kissed his hand and pressed them to his heart. "O king, we assure you that your wishes will all be fulfilled, but tell us why do you make such strange wishes?"
At this Alexander took a deep breath and said:
"I would like the world to know of the three lessons I have just learnt. I want my physicians to carry my coffin because people should realize that no doctor can really cure anybody. They are powerless and cannot save a person from the clutches of death. So let not people take life for granted.
The second wish of strewing gold, silver and other riches on the way to the graveyard is to tell people that not even a fraction of gold will come with me. I spent all my life earning riches but cannot take anything with me. Let people realize that it is a sheer waste of time to chase wealth.
And about my third wish of having my hands dangling out of the coffin, I wish people to know that I came empty handed into this world and empty handed I go out of this world."
With these words, the king closed his eyes. Soon he let death conquer him and breathed his last. . . .

10 Self Improvement Activities

These self improvement activities will help you become more productive, get into the positive state of mind and achieve better quality of life.
In this article you will also find out how to use your energy effectively, what is the quickest way to achieve personal growth and how to excel in every activity.
1st Self Improvement Activity: Use your energy on important things
If you want to succeed in life, you should not waste your energy on activities that do not bring any benefits.
Such useless activities include surfing the internet without any purpose, watching TV, worrying and wasting money.
When you are involved in such activities, you have no or little energy left for activities that can create a better future. It is worth prioritising and accomplishing important tasks first, and then if you still have enough energy, you may decide to do the unimportant.
2nd Self Improvement Activity: Focus on one task at a time
If you want to get perfect results, you should only concentrate on one activity. This way all your energy will go into it and you will accomplish it perfectly.
If you waste your energy on several things at the same time, you will get average results because you will divide your energy between the activities.
3rd Self Improvement Activity: Control your thinking
To avoid chaos in your mind resulting in chaos in the outside world, you should try to observe your thoughts. Once you start doing that, you will notice how many negative thoughts you get daily.
By observing negative thinking you will be able to emotionally disengage from it. As a result, negative thinking will affect you less and you will notice that your days are getting more peaceful and positive.
4th Self Improvement Activity: Get organised
When you live in an organised manner, you do not suffer from stress and your life is peaceful and balanced.
To start living this way, you should start planning your day in advance. This will eliminate any stress caused by being late to a meeting or forgetting to complete some task.
You should also live in tidiness because by keeping your home clean you also keep your mental state clear and peaceful. Such mental state will benefit you in many ways, including improved memory and less negativity.
5th Self Improvement Activity: Live in the present
Although this self improvement activity may seem strange to you, it is a very important activity that many ignore. The majority of people do not live in the present. They either dwell on their past or daydream about the future. They seem to forget the most important time of all – the present.
You should enjoy every present moment because your current state of mind always manifests in the outside world, creating your future accordingly.
Therefore if your main mood is very positive, you will experience only happy days. However, if you dwell on negative thoughts, you are sure to encounter many obstacles and misfortunes in the present and days to come.
6th Self Improvement Activity: Complete each task in a perfect manner
Whenever you are working on some project, try to accomplish it in the best way possible. Always ask yourself 'Is this project turned out as perfect as it could possibly be?' If the answer is no, try to correct or add something to it until there is nothing that you can improve.
This way you will make sure that each single task you accomplish is done in an excellent manner. By doing this you will create successful future because you cannot possibly fail if you only get perfect results.
Also, when you entirely focus on one task excluding everything else, you will notice that you start enjoying the task. If you concentrate on the task but still do not enjoy it, that means that you probably see the task as a means to an end rather than the process.
You should start focusing on the process itself to find enjoyment in the task. Such enjoyment will fuel motivation and you will accomplish everything quicker and better.
If you enjoy your work, you will put only positive energy into it. As a result, your completed tasks will bring you success.
7th Self Improvement Activity: Challenge yourself
Nothing develops you more than challenges. Challenges force you to shift your comfort zone, experience new situations and make you grow. Without challenges life would be very boring and depressing.
Challenges are necessary for every human being who is seeking quality life. Only through trial and error you realise who you really are, which activities you like and what preferences you have.
You can easily measure the success of a person by the amount of challenges s/he had.
8th Self Improvement Activity: Read personal development books
There is nothing more important than searching information about self improvement. Without reading any self improvement books or articles you cannot improve yourself.
I have written an article about 20 life changing personal development books. It might be worth checking them out. Many of them are available for free! Click here to read this article.
9th Self Improvement Activity: Socialize only with positive people
Positive people can inspire, empower and make you happy. It is so much worth to be at least once in a while with positive people rather than constantly spend time with negative friends or relatives.
If you spend your days with, for example, lazy people, you may notice that you are becoming lazy.
If all your friends' main qualities are negative, try to avoid all of them. This way you will not be affected in a negative way and after some time will start attracting positive people.
10th Self Improvement Activity: Exercise
Daily exercise develops determination, focus and patience. It improves your health and strengthens your body. It makes you more active, positive and invincible.
People who exercise every day are always perceived as strong-willed and disciplined.
Conclusion
These personal improvement activities are sure to put you on the track to success. I hope that you will apply the steps in this article and, as a result, will greatly improve the quality of your life.

Story: Play wise, Play fool to achieve your goal :)

There once lived a great mathematician in a village outside Ujjain. He was often called by the local king to advice on matters related to the economy. His reputation had spread all over the country. So it hurt him very much when the village headman told him, "You may be a great mathematician who advises the king on economic matters but your son does not know the value of gold or silver."

The mathematician called his son and asked, "What is more valuable – gold or silver?" "Gold," said the son. "That is correct. Why is it then that the village headman makes fun of you, claims you do not know the value of gold or silver? He teases me every day. He mocks me before other village elders as a father who neglects his son. This hurts me. I feel everyone in the village is laughing behind my back because you do not know what is more valuable, gold or silver. Explain this to me, son."

So the son of the mathematician told his father the reason why the village headman carried this impression. "Every day on my way to school, the village headman calls me to his house. There, in front of all village elders, he holds out a silver coin in one hand and a gold coin in other. He asks me to pick up the more valuable coin. I pick the silver coin. He laughs, the elders jeer, everyone makes fun of me. And then I go to school. This happens every day. That is why they tell you I do not know the value of gold or silver."

The father was confused. His son knew the value of gold and silver, and yet when asked to choose between a gold coin and silver coin always picked the silver coin. "Why don't you pick up the gold coin?" he asked. In response, the son took the father to his room and showed him a box. In the box were at least a hundred silver coins. Turning to his father, the mathematician's son said, "The day I pick up the gold coin the game will stop. They will stop having fun and I will stop making money."

The bottom line is: Sometimes in life, we have to play the fool because our seniors and our peers, and sometimes even our juniors like it. That does not mean we lose in the game of life. It just means allowing others to win in one arena of the game, while we win in the other arena of the game. We have to choose which arena matters to us and which arenas do not.

What Happens When Luxuries Become Routines

When the luxuries of your life become your routines, the power of crisis survival gets reduced dramatically. On the contrary, a simple life style strengthens your inner abilities to fight all kind of tragic circumstances of your life.

To elaborate this theory let us consider this example that if I take my son to a high end costly restaurant EVERY weekend then over the course of some months, it will become his routine to enjoy this treat. In fact this will no more be luxury for him, instead it will become his need. Now God forbid, for any reason, I am unable to take him to such restaurants then surely he is going to miss this luxury of eating out and/or soon would start complaining about it and/or get embarrassed or would emotionally be disturbed. Now if I apply this basic example to multiple luxurious habits (such as buying toys, video games, clothes too often or fulfilling all the wishes swiftly) then imagine what would happen to the psychology of my kid at the time of financial crisis? Indeed he will get dishearten, distracted and emotionally disturbed. He might feel that his blessings have been snatched from him all of a sudden. His overall personality and character would definitely be impacted !!!  (Article written by Junaid.Tahir)

Well, The purpose of all this elaboration is not asking you to deprive your loved ones from their rights but to reduce these luxury routines from your life. And in order to do that let us take the same eating-out example again. So if you ate out on last weekend, then this week you can eat home-made food. The money which  you were about to spend on eating out, you can buy some fruits or milk or anything for the guys working on the nearby petrol pump or the workers at a nearby construction project or simply encourage your children to give this money to any charity project.
This mechanism has multiple advantages;
1-    You are helping less fortunate community members to enjoy the blessings.
2-   You are raising your child with high ethical values
3-   You are adapting simple life style hence improving your strength to fight well during crisis.
4-   By eating home-made food you are adapting a healthy life style because its fresh, its less fatty, less control and have hygienic ingredients. Consequently you are helping yourself staying away from Heart and other several diseases.
5-   You are spreading happiness in your community. In fact, you are generating ripples of happiness and consequently adding high impact on society. Article written by Junaid.Tahir If you would like to adapt simplicity in your life, please do read my article here
Eating out example is just for the sake of elaboration; in fact the concept can be applied in several domains of life.

How To Get Truth Out Of Someone

By: Michael Lee If you want to know how to get the truth out of someone, there are a few tricks you can learn here. Of course, most of these have psychological bases. There is no need to resort to violence when you can easily extract truthful information in less demanding ways.

This article will teach you simple ways on how to get the truth out of someone. Read on to find out more!

1) Use The "Good Cop, Bad Cop" Tactic.

This is one of the most popular truth extraction strategies in the world. Policemen have been using it for decades. So how does good cop, bad cop work exactly? Simple.

Two of you will interrogate, so to speak, the person under scrutiny. One of you will play the good cop while the other one will take on the role of the bad cop. The good cop tells the target that they are in good hands, that they can get out of the sticky situation if only they told the truth. And then the bad cop comes in to scare the person into submitting.

In this sort of situation, the good cop usually gets the confession. The good cop gives the person some reassurance that all will be well in the end. The bad cop is merely a decoration.

2) Look Them In The Eye.

Another tactic you can use on how to get the truth out of someone is the "look me straight in the eye" strategy. This is very effective when used on people you are close to or on people who are very close to you. Chances are, the person who you consider to be a friend or part of the family, will feel guilty for lying or hiding something from you.

Ask them to look you straight in the eye when you demand an answer. Or you can look them straight n the eye yourself. When the person in question can't even meet your gaze, something is up. It won't take a lot of persuading to get that person to spill the beans.

3) Make Peace Relations.

Telling a person that you don't want any trouble or that you won't cause any problems is another way on how to get the truth out of someone. Usually, people lie or hide the truth because they're afraid of what our reaction will be. If you reassure them that you won't get angry or won't "punish" them, they'll be more likely to open up to you.

Knowing how to get the truth out of someone is very important. However, be mindful of who you use it on and when you use it. Don't let this power sway you over to the dark side. Use this knowledge only when necessary and not as a way to make someone a complete laughingstock. There is no need to resort to violence when you can easily extract truthful information in less demanding ways. Advantages of Olives and Olive Oil

Olive oil is extracted from the olive fruits and there are numerous olive groves in Portugal today in the regions of Norte Alentjano, the hills of the Moura region, the upper Douro and the Tras-os-Montes in the northern part of Portugal. The various climatic and geographical factors aid and facilitate its production in these regions. Since 1986, after Portugal became a member of the European Union, olive oil has begun to be exported to various parts of the world and according to recent figures, Portugal is ranked eighth in the world market.

Olive oil has manifold advantages and in fact it can be regarded as a product that has no negative side effects at all. There are various advantages of the olive oil produced upon extraction from the olive fruit and its functions are many. It is considered extremely healthy because of the high proportion of polyphenols and monounsaturated fats like oleic acid which it contains. They have a variety of uses in cosmetics, soaps, as fuels for lighting oil lamps, cooking and medicinal purposes. Olive oils have great digestive properties which ensure swift digestion because of their low acidity levels. For beauty and skin care regimens, olive oil is an important ingredient as it helps to smoothen and soften dry scaly skin.

Since ancient times, olive oil has been used in various religious rituals amidst the Jews and Christians and it has even found mention in the holy Quran which is the Muslim Holy text. However, the most significant functions of the olive oil are in terms of medicinal uses. As a necessary requisite of the Mediterranean diet, it is very beneficial for curing various heart diseases. It is rich in natural antioxidants like Vitamin E which is also aids in reducing blood pressure and cholesterol. It is also at times used as a laxative.

Olive oil benefits are numerous…Here's my list of

10 good reasons to use extra virgin olive oil.

Enter your search termsSubmit search form

1. It's Natural! – the best of olive oil benefits. Extra virgin olive oil is nothing but fruit juice extracted mechanically from olive fruit. There is no heat or chemicals used in the extraction process. My favourite and the most beneficial is a fresh organic unfiltered extra virgin olive oil. Follow this link for more information about olive oil grades.

2. Flavour – It just tastes good. I guess I would have to say it is an acquired taste and some people just don't like the bitter characteristic of some oils. There are olive varieties known for their mild flavour and olive oil pressed from ripe olives is smooth, mellow and buttery.
substitute olive oil for butter

3. Nutritional Value – vitamins E, K, and A as well as polyphenols, squalene, oleocanthol, triterpenes and hundreds more micronutrients make olive oil a healthy choice. Read more about olive oil nutrients.

4. Oleic Acid – oleic acid (omega 9) makes up 55 – 85 percent of the fatty acids in olive oil. Don't confuse this with the amount of free oleic acid which is the main factor used to determine the grade of the olive oil and the lower the better. It's great for your skin – read about common oils used in soaps and how they can do so much more than just clean your skin at romancing-the-soap.com Oleic acid aids in keeping our arteries supple and helps prevent cancer.

5. Hydrogenated Oils – olive oil is not hydrogenated oil. Hydrogenation creates dangerous trans-fats found in margarine and many other packaged foods. Please read this page for more information about hydrogenated oil and trans-fats.

6. Heart Health and Cholesterol – extra virgin olive oil is high in polyphenols (a powerful antioxidant) and monounsaturated fat which contributes to lowering bad cholesterol. Read more about this health benefit here.

7. Cancer – researchers at the University of Oxford believe that olive oil may be just as effective in the prevention of colon cancer as fresh fruits and veggies. A diet rich in olive oil has been shown to reduce the incidence of colon., breast and skin cancers.

8. Blood Pressure – Studies now indicate that extra virgin olive oil may help to lower blood pressure. Patients were able to reduce or eliminate the need for medications when olive oil was consumed on a regular basis.

9. Alzheimers – this disease is associated with the clogging of arteries caused by cholesterol and saturated fat. Replacing other fats with olive oil will reduce the risk.

10. Gallstones – Olive oil promotes the secretion of bile and pancreatic hormones naturally and lowers the incidence of gallstones.

There are more olive oil benefits. It's great for skin and hair care, used in natural remedies, and is a more versatile cooking oil than you may think.

Olive oil's health benefits
The greatest exponent of monounsaturated fat is olive oil, and it is a prime component of the Mediterranean Diet. Olive oil is a natural juice which preserves the taste, aroma, vitamins and properties of the olive fruit. Olive oil is the only vegetable oil that can be consumed as it is – freshly pressed from the fruit.

The beneficial health effects of olive oil are due to both its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids and its high content of antioxidative substances. Studies have shown that olive oil offers protection against heart disease by controlling LDL ("bad") cholesterol levels while raising HDL (the "good" cholesterol) levels. (1-3) No other naturally produced oil has as large an amount of monounsaturated as olive oil -mainly oleic acid.

Olive oil is very well tolerated by the stomach. In fact, olive oil's protective function has a beneficial effect on ulcers and gastritis. Olive oil activates the secretion of bile and pancreatic hormones much more naturally than prescribed drugs. Consequently, it lowers the incidence of gallstone formation.

Olive oil and heart disease
Studies have shown that people who consumed 25 milliliters (mL) – about 2 tablespoons – of virgin olive oil daily for 1 week showed less oxidation of LDL cholesterol and higher levels of antioxidant compounds, particularly phenols, in the blood.(4)

But while all types of olive oil are sources of monounsaturated fat, EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil, from the first pressing of the olives, contains higher levels of antioxidants, particularly vitamin E and phenols, because it is less processed.

Olive oil is clearly one of the good oils, one of the healing fats. Most people do quite well with it since it does not upset the critical omega 6 to omega 3 ratio and most of the fatty acids in olive oil are actually an omega-9 oil which is monounsaturated.

Olive oil and colon cancer
Spanish researchers suggest that including olive oil in your diet may also offer benefits in terms of colon cancer prevention (5). Their study results showed that rats fed diet supplemented with olive oil had a lower risk of colon cancer than those fed safflower oil-supplemented diets. In fact, the rats that received olive oil had colon cancer rates almost as low as those fed fish oil, which several studies have already linked to a reduction in colon cancer risk.

Types of olive oil
Generally, olive oil is extracted by pressing or crushing olives. Olive oil comes in different varieties, depending on the amount of processing involved. Varieties include:

Extra virgin – considered the best, least processed, comprising the oil from the first pressing of the olives.
Virgin – from the second pressing.
Pure – undergoes some processing, such as filtering and refining.
Extra light – undergoes considerable processing and only retains a very mild olive flavour.

When buying olive oil you will want to obtain a high quality EXTRA VIRGIN oil. The oil that comes from the first "pressing" of the olive, is extracted without using heat (a cold press) or chemicals, and has no "off" flavors is awarded "extra virgin" status. The less the olive oil is handled, the closer to its natural state, the better the oil. If the olive oil meets all the criteria, it can be designated as "extra virgin".

What is pure and light olive oil? "Pure" olive oil is made by adding a little extra virgin olive oil to refined olive oil. It is a lesser grade oil that is also labeled as just "olive oil" in the U.S.

"Light" olive oil is a marketing concept and not a classification of olive oil grades. It is completely unregulated by any certification organizations and therefore has no real precedent to what its content should be. Sometimes, the olive oil is cut with other vegetable oils.

How to care for your olive oil
Resist the temptation to place your beautiful bottle of olive oil on the windowsill. Light and heat are the #1 enemy of oil. Keep olive oil in a cool and dark place, tightly sealed. Oxygen promotes rancidity. Olive oil is like other oils and can easily go rancid when exposed to air, light or high temperatures.

You can of course buy extra virgin olive oil in any grocery store.

World's most expensive glasses in Dubai - Cost $75,000

The world's most expensive reading glasses are set in 18K solid gold

Published Sunday, May 06, 2012 (SUPPLIED)

The price of gold may have been tamed in recent weeks, but this limited edition reading glasses (only 300 pieces are being made, each marked with a unique number and complete with a lifetime warranty) promise to hold their glitter for a long time.

This is no ordinary piece of eyewear – priced at Dh275,250 ($75,000), they are pegged as the world's most expensive reading glasses, and are set in 18K solid gold.

Manufactured by the CliC Golds, this unique piece of optical jewelry will be hosted by Al Jaber Optical at its store in Dubai Mall.

Created by talented inventor Ron Lando, who will also be present at the showing on May 7th, 6pm-8pm, the CliC Golds are sure to captivate audiences with their sleek design set in 18K solid gold; a rare hybrid of artistic genius and precise optical engineering.

The glasses' inventor and worldwide patent holder for CliC eyewear, Lando worked with internationally renowned jewelry designer Hugh Power to bring this vision to life.

Each "reader" is hand crafted in 18K solid gold by the master jeweler in the United States using traditional, strictly detailed techniques. This means that every single piece takes approximately 50 hours to complete, with each set finished off with Lando's patented magnetic front connection system.

This system replaces the traditional temple and is an ultra-light moldable gold headband with 18K solid gold extendable sidepieces and an 18K solid gold expandable back made to ensure a custom fit. The glasses retail at $75,000 or approximately Dh275,250.

Al Jaber Optical, who are presenting the CliC Golds to the public, are no strangers to innovation, and have a long-standing reputation as leaders in the region's optical market.

"We are overjoyed to host such an exclusive piece of optical jewelry at our Dubai Mall store and it is an honour to have Mr. Lando and Mr. Power at the store to show off their creation to our customers. We always strive towards the new and exciting at Al Jaber Optical, and the CliC Golds are definitely that," said Ahmed Al Jaber, Managing Director, Al Jaber Optical

Story - Salty coffee

He met her at someone's wedding. He requested her to have coffee with him, she was surprised but due to being polite, she promised. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, and she thought to herself, "Please, let me go home..."

Suddenly he asked the waiter, "Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously, "Why you have this hobby?" He replied, "When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea, I liked playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there." While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home... Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family.

That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story. They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, and then they were living the happy life... And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said, "My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life's lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything... Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth, I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste... But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again."
Her tears made the letter totally wet. Someday, someone asked her, "What's the taste of salty coffee?" She replied, "It's sweet."
Its a lil bit unrealistic story but the moral and the message of the story is wonderful :)

Understanding Ripple Effect in Multiple Dimensions

When you throw a stone into a pond, you'll see a splash and hear a specific sound generated by the touch of stone with the water. You will notice circles rippling out from the point where stone hit the water. The stone touched the water only once however the number of waves was more than that. Did you also notice that you did one simple act of throwing a stone but it resulted in several waves generation in all directions travelling to a large distance? This is what we call Ripple Effect.
If you closely observe your day to day life, you will notice that most of your acts are generating ripples in the society since a lot of people are getting affected either positively or negatively. If you are doing a positive act, the ripple effect is going to be positive. For example, if you help your friend or colleague, there is a most likely chance that he will help you and others when he finds you or others in any crisis. Hence I believe that positive acts result in positive ripples and negative effects generate negative ripples. Since this article is going to be read by all kind of intellectuals so I will summarize some basic example of positive and negative ripples. Article written by Junaid Tahir (mjunaidtahir at gmail dotcom)
1-    When you share some inspiring article/video/story with your friends through email, Facebook, Google Plus, blog, website or any other online media, it will have a positive impact on hundreds of lives; Just to elaborate, if you have sent this article by email to 100 friends and only 20 of those share the same information with their colleagues/friends then this article will reach and inspire another 20*100 = 2000 people. This won't stop here since these 2000 people are going to share that with another thousands of people so the article consequently touches millions!
2-   When you work on some humanity service project (for example, giving some money for charity on monthly basis, opening an orphan house, installing water tanks in areas where water is not available to drink, visiting hospitals to help poor people etc) you are generating an unstoppable ripple effect. Hundreds of people will get inspired by you and start doing the same (more or less) acts.
3-   When you want to show your driving 'skills' and 'thrills' by bad or speedy driving while your friends or family members are with you, you are encouraging them to do the same when they are given a chance. These friends will probably do the same and encourage more people for this bad act. Down the road in 6 month you might 100+ rash drivers!

This paragraph is for Muslims only: If we closely think, the positive ripples can become a source of Sadqa Jaria which is extremely required after your death. If you have done something similar to Point-1 and Point-2, these deeds will keep sending you the Hasanat (currency of Aakhirah) in your after-death-bank-account. Always remember that dollars, pounds or euros wont help you on the day of Judgment, the thing which will help you is your acts of kindness and their usage by the society. If you inspire and convince more and more people for any good deed (by your words or by doing the task actually) you are basically ensuring your share in the Hasanat which they is going to do (while their share will not be impacted). Article written by Junaid Tahir..

Conclusion: Positive Acts of kindness can bring magical results on earth. Everyone needs to understand the concept that all of his/her acts are generating ripples in the society which are either improving or polluting the society.
Do you audit yourself on how much pollution or prosperity you are contributing to the society?
