6 Cs to Avoid in Life

Everyone one wants to stay happy in life but only small fraction of people put efforts on the factors which can bring happiness. Some factors are required to work on and some factors to be avoided... In this article 6 factors are discussed which are recommended to be avoided in order to achieve extreme heights of happiness and peace of mind.

This is one of the extreme ethical crimes I can think of. You conspire when you plan secretly (alone or with others) against someone to do something which is harmful and unlawful. In the court of humanity this is a punishable act and nature always takes revenge form you for the things you do against humanity. 

While healthy criticism helps improve things but most of the time you criticize with no clear positive intention. The more you criticize this way, the more you pollute your own mind and build up negative powers which back fires in terms of added stress due to negativity. Also criticizing is an indication that you are not part of solutions instead  you are part of problems. So if you would like to live a happy life then no negative criticism please. 
Cursing is opposite of blessing which means the one who curses is away from blessing.  Both cursing and blessing are indirectly proportional to each other. The more you curse people the more you make yourself away from them and also from the blessings of Almighty. Control your thoughts to control your tongue. Daily audit at the end of each day will help improve your habit of cursing. This will improve your mental health and strengthen your inner powers. 
Your complaining attitude reduces your social circle. When you start complaining about circumstances, about people around you and so on, you give up your energies to strive and eventually you weaken your relations with others and also lose your grip on your goals. This act degrades you in your social group and eventually you lose respect. Try speaking positive or stay silent. 
Mind your own business. If you can't help don't complicate their problems. Don't confuse people by raising complicated questions.  Speak up only if you have a positive advice and neat intention. Remember, giving advice is a matter of honesty so put yourself in others' shoes; listen empathically and then advice in the best interest of your companion.   

Corruption is a phenomenon of moral or economical deviation from the ideal. Corruption is a world-wide social disease which has spread like jungle fire and impacting millions of lives every day consequently polluting every society. May it be financial corruption, Ethical corruption or Relationship corruption, it is consistently polluting societies and families. The more you earn with illicit acts the more you push yourself away from the state of contentment. Illegal acts always have reaction exactly equal or more than the magnitude of the actions you do.

or not, he works hard to get his son admitted to an
engineering or medical course.

Despite the shortage of funds he send money regularly to his child at university even some children go on a gala spending spree on the same day the money arrives.

The Father is the existence of the
home. The home is secure from outsiders when a father, in the form of its manger, is alive. He holds the position of the chief executive of the household. He sees, repairs and cares for jobs around the house.

When you announce your exam results, it seems that mother is the closest person to you because she takes you in her arms, praises you and blesses you, but no one notices the father who quietly slips away to the sweet shop to get sweets to distribute among family and friends...

Maybe you need to persuade a friend to go on a holiday with you, a colleague to see your point of view or get your boss to give you that promotion. You may have to close a sales deal, counsel somebody to avoid self-harming behavior or persuade someone to do you a favor. Whatever the situation, you will need to be more persuasive.
Magicians and advertisers are using hidden persuasion techniques and manipulative tricks which are rarely obvious. The only problem is that they are not so willing to reveal these so we will have to resort to more mundane hacks which are nevertheless more than effective.
Choosing your words carefully will be an enormous advantage. But body language and other tactics will help you to deliver your message or present your case much more effectively. Here are 7 tricks you should keep in mind when you want to be more persuasive.

1. You use emotional intelligence (EQ)

Not many people realize that emotion al intelligence is the innate ability we may possess to recognize, understand and manage emotions. This is a powerful tool in persuading people to convince them that certain actions are no brainers. Martin Luther King Jr. and his speechwriter Clarence Jones knew this very well. It was a clever combination of indignation, reason, anger and hope. Just reflect on the emotions he aroused when he said that a land "sweltering with the heat of oppression" could be "transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice."
In normal situations, you will demonstrate your EQ by showing social awareness by being conscious of the emotions and feelings of the people you are dealing with. This helps you to empathize and you show that you see where they are coming from. It helps you build a rapport and a stronger bond which are essential elements in the process of persuasion.

2. You use body language effectively

Albert Mehrabian is current professor emeritus of psychology at the University of California and he has done extensive research on non verbal communication. His work shows that when words fail to convince or persuade, body language wins the day and will be the more effective way of communication. That is why it is so important to pay attention to the way we stand, sit, talk, use eye contact and how we wave our arms about!
Imagine trying to persuade someone to vote for an issue in a referendum. You may spout a slogan with arms folded, no eye contact or mumble something unclearly. It is obvious that the person will notice your body language much more and will neither be impressed nor persuaded.

3. You prefer face to face contact

You might be tempted to use an email to make a difficult request or a phone call. But when it comes to being more persuasive, nothing beats face to face contact. Next time, take a walk down the corridor and talk to the person rather than using the phone. It is also good exercise! In politics, there are lots of studies that show that face to face contact is the most effective method of all in persuading people to vote for a candidate or cause.

4. You know the power of touch

There are lots of studies on how the power of touch can influence and persuade people whether in personal relationships or in business. We know that waiters will be tipped more if they learn the art of unobtrusive touching. There are research studies on shoppers who were touched who spent more time in the store and bought more! Time and time again, studies show that the power of touch tends to put people in a better mood and has a powerful healing effect. Touching makes people more open to requests and persuasion. While this is powerful, you need to be aware that certain cultural and religious customs might regard it as an intrusion. It is also very interesting to reflect on the fact that the healing power of touch has almost always been avoided by psychotherapists.

5. You know the power of active listening

Persuasive people are not great talkers, they are great listeners. It works almost every time. Why? Well if you want to persuade, you must first find out how likely they are to accept your idea or request. Then, you have to find out whether there are any obstacles, objections or doubts. The most important thing of all is to be ready when you spot the openings for agreement which is when you will go for the kill and capitalize on it. Above all, you are in a stronger position when you know the other side of the argument. It pays to listen!

6. You know how fast to speak

In a fascinating study done by the University of Michigan, researchers found that the rate of speech when persuading was an important, and often, overlooked factor. Speech rates, pitch and fluency were all measured in telephone interviewers where they were trying to persuade people to take part in a survey. The optimal speed of speech was about 3.5 words per second which is moderately fast. Also, the interviewers who built in 4 or 5 pauses every minute were more successful. Speaking too quickly was perceived as being suspicious (the classic fast talker!). Speaking too slowly gives the impression of being too pedantic or less intelligent. Also, researchers found that being too lively and enthusiastic was off putting in many cases.

7. You are aware of the value of flexibility

If you are trying to persuade somebody to do something, think like you or buy from you, you are aware of the enormous benefits flexibility can bring. We can learn from young children here who have a variety of behaviors which usually help them get what they want. They can go though the usual list of crying, sulking, bargaining, pleading and even charming you before you give in and give them what they so desperately want. Parents always say "No" which is often ineffective. The lesson we can learn from this is that we need a more flexible approach as regards behaviors when we are involved in the persuasion process. Being open minded and never dogmatic will also help enormously.

It is said that women can see more shades of color than men, but whether you're a man or a woman, the number of colors you can see is limited by the color receptors in your eyes. These cone-shaped receptors are usually divided into three types, each one sensitive to a different color – red, blue, or green. The rest of the colors we see are just a combination of these three colors.

However, some people only have two types of receptors, making them a little color blind. About half of the population in the world have three types, while the remaining group has four types of receptors, and can see more shades of color than most other people.
If you want to know how many types of cones you have in your eyes, count the number of shades you see in the picture below.


Less than 20 shades – Dichromat

You only have two receptor types, a bit similar to dogs. You probably prefer to wear black, beige, and blue shades. About 25% of the population are dichromats, most of whom are men.

20-32 shades – Tr
You have three types of receptors and enjoy wearing different colors. Your ability to perceive color is within the normal range. Roughly 50% of the population are trichromats.
33-39 shades – Tetrachromat
You're probably a tetrachromat, and like bees – you have four types of receptors in your eyes. You can see quite a few more colors than the average person. You're probably irritated by the color yellow and less likely to wear clothes in any yellow shade. Some 25% of the population are tetrachromats, most of whom are women.

  1. Greek yoghurt:
A cup of fat free Greek yoghurt gives you 17 grams of protein per hundred calories. Just whip out your spoons to relish this great source of probiotics.
  1. Spirulina:
Imagine a plant source of protein that provides you with high protein, enough to boost your immunity to lower the risk of various diseases. Yes, such an excellent source of protein exists and it is known as spirulina.
Spirulina is blue green algae that generates from fresh water bodies. You can consume it in powder form or capsule form. You can add it to your salads, soups or smoothies. Two tablespoons ofspirulina gives you 8 grams of protein that nourishes your body with great wellness.
  1. Soybeans:
Soybeans are another huge source of protein which outweighs the protein you get from an egg. Boil them or roast them, they make great superfood. One fourth cup of soybeans provides you with 15 grams of protein content. If you play sports or workout regularly to build your six pack abs, it is a great way to supply nutrition to your body.
  1. Cottage cheese:
Cottage cheese is a superb way to include high protein in your diet. Half a cup of cottage cheese gives you 11 grams of protein that is much greater than what you get from eggs. Besides protein, you get plenty of calcium, Vitamin B12 and other nutrients from low fat cheese.
  1. Lentils:
For every 100 grams lentils, you get 26 grams protein content. They are free from cholesterol and are rich in other minerals too. They make a healthy side dish and can also be added to soups.
  1. Almonds:
Almonds are a powerhouse of antioxidants and energy. You get 21 grams of protein content from every 100 grams of almonds. Soak them overnight or eat them raw, they make a healthy snack choice anywhere anytime.
  1. Peanuts:
Eating peanuts is a great way to add protein to your diet. They contain way more protein than eggs. For every 100 grams peanuts you eat, you derive 25 grams of protein content.
Non vegetarian sources of protein:
  1. Salmon:
Salmon is a rich source of protein. Every 100 grams of salmon give you 23 grams of animal protein. It is low in sodium but high in protein, Vitamin B12 and selenium. Steam it, bake it or fry it, there are many scrumptious ways to relish your salmon.
  1. Tuna:
Tuna is another excellent protein source with low fat and calorie content. For every 100 grams of tuna you derive 23.8 grams of lean protein which is much higher than you would get from your omelet.
However, keep tuna limited to 300 grams per week to avoid excess intake of mercury.

  1. Chicken breast:
One of the most loved sources of animal protein is chicken breast. Though it is high in cholesterol, it gives you 23.5 grams of protein per 100 grams serving. No matter how you cook it, bake it or steam it; it never fails to make your taste buds happy.
  1. Turkey breast:
It is another variety of animal protein with high sodium and cholesterol content. For every 100 grams serving of turkey breast your body gets 17 grams of protein content.
  1. Beef:
Beef is a heavy protein source. Besides giving you 27 grams of lean protein for every 100 grams serving of beef, it also provides you with zinc, niacin, Vitamin B12 and selenium.
Add these vegetarian or non vegetarian sources of protein to your diet apart from eggs. Consult your doctor to give you an estimate of daily protein intake that you require according to your body type, metabolism and the type of work you do. Plan your meals to provide your body with the much needed protein nourishment. Make health your way of life!

10 Foolproof Tricks To Stop Insomnia & Get Good Sleep

It's not just you. Studies show that over a third of Americans have trouble sleeping. But why?

There are too many reasons to count. Perhaps you're anxious about a big test the next day. You could have stayed up binge-watching Netflix for too long. For some, however, there seems to be no logical reason why sleep evades them.

Whatever your reason for being awake, you've come to the right place. These are ten of the best ways to help you sleep like a baby.

1. Get up and do something else.
This might sound counterintuitive, but if you're not asleep after trying for about 20 minutes, you're not doing yourself any favors by hanging out in bed. Get up and walk around. Read a little. Do something to take your mind off the fact that you can't sleep...and then try to sleep again. This is a good way to work off any lingering stress that might be keeping you up.

2. Stay away from screens before bed.
This goes for TVs, smartphones, tablets, and everything else with a glowing screen. Even Kindles are bad for you. Why? The light emitted from these screens can actually decrease melatonin production, which is what your brain produces to help you sleep. Researchers also suggest that this light interferes with circadian rhythms in your brain. You may be tricking yourself into thinking it's daytime!

3. Go to bed at the same time every night.
We all like to stay up a little later on the weekends, but it does us more harm than good. A consistent bedtime keeps your internal clock in check. It might sound like a strict routine, but it can drastically improve your sleeping experience.

4. Change up your sleeping situation.
Are your linens uncomfortable? Is your mattress awful? No wonder you're not falling asleep! After all, how are you going to fall asleep when the thing you're sleeping on is causing you discomfort? Assess your bedding and make a change if necessary. (This will also give you an excuse to splurge on some Egyptian cotton sheets. Just saying.)

5. Only use your bed for its intended purposes.
Sure, breakfast in bed is nice, and reading on your pillow seems like fun, but these activities might be getting between you and a good night's sleep. The more you do in your bed that's not related to sleep, the harder it'll be for you to transition into sleep. Only use your bed for sleeping and sex.

6. Try taking a melatonin supplement.
We've all been there. You start a Netflix binge, and before you know it, it's 4 a.m. and you need to be in the office in five hours. Because your internal clock is off, melatonin production in your brain is delayed, thus hindering your ability to sleep. Fortunately, you can purchase a natural melatonin supplement to try and reset that clock. Before you do, it's best to talk to your doctor.

7. Kick stress to the curb.
This might be easier said than done, but try to resolve any existing conflicts, internal or otherwise, before heading to bed. If you're stressed or mad about something, consider playing devil's advocate with yourself to calm your nerves. If you and your significant other are in the midst of an argument, attempt to rationally resolve your conflict before you hit the hay. Many have found that writing about their worries in a journal before trying to sleep is a helpful practice. Stress is pretty much guaranteed to keep you up at night, so do yourself a favor and attempt to remove any stressful roadblocks before you go to bed.

8. Take deep breaths.
Slow, deep breaths might sound like they belong at the doctor's office, but they can actually help you relax. Breathing techniques usually work pretty well in the sleep department.

9. Wiggle your big toes and count backwards from 1000.
This is by far the goofiest thing you'll ever hear, but it works. I had crippling insomnia issues for years, and finally learned this trick from a  friend of mine. Get into bed, close the blinds, turn off the lights, and slowly wiggle your big toes while counting backwards from 1000 in your head. This technique can help you get into a meditative mindset.

10. Take part in a sleep study.
Talk to your physician about a sleep study. There's likely a medical center near you that will help you find out exactly why you're not sleeping. All you need to do is spend a night or two in their comfortable facilities hooked up to a series of machines. Doctors monitor your progress from another room. Before you commit to a given sleep center, be sure that their physicians have practices in place for evaluating insomnia. Some sleep centers focus on issues like sleep apnea and treat insomnia as an afterthought, which won't help you.

If you're still having persistent problems with sleep, it is best to consult a doctor before you introduce any new methods to your sleep routine. If you have an excess amount of stress keeping you awake, consider speaking to a mental health professional to learn more about living a stress-free and restful life. In the end, any positive measures you take will only help you reach your goal of a good night's sleep.
