A very poor newly wedded, young couple lived in a small farm.
One day the husband made the following proposal to his wife:
Honey, I will leave the house: I will travel faraway, get a job and
work hard in order to come back and give you the
comfortable life that you deserve. I do not know how
long I will stay away, I only ask one thing,
please wait for me, and while I am away, you should be
faithful to me, because I will be faithful to you.

His wife agreed, so the young man left. He walked many days
until he found a farmer who was in need of
someone to help him. The young man offered his services.
He was accepted. Therefore he discussed the terms with his boss:
Let me work for as long as I want and when I think I
should go home, please relieve me of my duties.

I do not want to receive my salary. I ask you to save it for me,
until the day I leave. The day I decide to go, please give me
the money and I will go my way.
They agreed on that. So, the young man worked for
twenty years without holiday and without rest.
After twenty years, he came to his boss and said:
Boss, I want my money, because I am returning to my home.
The boss replied: All right, after all, I made a deal with you
and I will stick to it. However, before you go I want to offer you
something new: I will give you all your money and send
you away; or I will give you 3 pieces of advice and send you away.
If I give you money, you lose the 3 pieces of advice.

 If I give you the 3 pieces of advice, you lose the money.
Now, go to your room and think about your answer.

He thought for two days.
Then he went to the boss and told him:
I want the 3 pieces of advice. The boss stressed again,
if I give you the 3 pieces of advice, I will not give you
the money, and the man replied:
I want the 3 pieces of advice.
The boss then told him:
No. 1: Never take shortcuts in your life,
shorter and unknown paths can cost your life.

No. 2: Never be too curious, for curiosity towards evil
can be deadly.

No.3: Never make decisions in moments of anger or pain,
because when you repent, it could be too late.

After giving these 3 pieces of advice, the boss said to him:
Here, you have 3 loaves of bread, 2 are for you to eat
during the journey and the last is for you to eat with
your wife when you get home.

So, the man went his way, after twenty years away from
home and from his wife, whom he loved so much.
After the first day of travel, he found a man who greeted
him and asked: Where are you going? He replied:
To a distant place which is about 20 days away if I continue walking.
The man said to him: Ol' boy, this path is too long!
I know a shortcut that is very safe and you will arrive in 5 days only.
The man began to follow the path suggested until he
remembered the first piece of advice.
Then, he returned and followed the long path. Days later he
learned that the shortcut led to an ambush.
After a few more days of travel, he found an in

the roadside, where he could rest. He paid for a room
and after taking a bath he lay down to sleep.
During the night he woke up as he heard a
terrifying scream. He rose to his feet and went to
the door to check what happened.
As he was opening the door, he remembered the
second piece of advice.

Therefore he returned, lay down again and slept.
At dawn, after breakfast, the owner of the lodging asked
him if he had not heard the scream at night.
He affirmed that he heard. Then, the host said:
Were you not curious to see what happened? And he replied:
No, I was not. Then the host said: You are the
first guest to leave this inn alive.

My neighbour is completely crazy. He usually shouts at
night to call someone’s attention. When some of the
guests come out, he kills them and buries their bodies
in the backyard. The man continued his long journey,
eager to arrive soon. After many days and nights walking,
he was very tired, but he finally saw his house far away.
It was night. He saw some light coming out of the window of
his house and was able to see the silhouette of his wife.

But he also saw that she was not alone. He came closer
and saw there was a man with her. She
softly caressed his hair. When he saw that
scene, his heart was filled with hatred and bitterness.
He decided to rush at and kill them both mercilessly.
However, he took a deep breath and he remembered the
third piece of advice. Then he stopped, reflected and
decided to sleep outside that night. He slept in the
midst of the bushes, determined to make a
decision the next day. At dawn, he was calmer and thought:
I will not kill my wife and her lover. I am going back to my boss
to ask him to take me back. But before I go, I want to tell
my wife that I have always been faithful to her.

He went to the front door and knocked. When his wife
opened the door and recognized him, she cried and
embraced him warmly. He tried to push her away, but he
was not able. Then, with tears in his eyes he told her:
I was faithful to you but you betrayed me.
She was shocked, so she replied:
How did I betray you? I have never betrayed you.

 I waited patiently for you for twenty good years. Then he asked:
How about the man that you were caressing yesterday?
And she said: That man is your son. When you left,
I discovered I was pregnant. Today he is twenty years old.
Hearing that, the man asked her forgiveness.
He met and hugged his son. Then he told them all
the things he had experienced while away.
Meanwhile, his wife prepared some coffee for them to
eat together, the last bread given by his boss.
After a prayer of thanksgiving, he broke the bread.

When he looked at it, he found all his money inside.
In fact, there was even more than the right payment for his
twenty years of dedication and hard work.

Friends, our God is like this boss. When he
asks us to make a sacrifice, he wants to give us more
than what we give Him. He wants us to have His unique
wisdom as well as the material blessings.

The biggest obstacle is: DISTRACTIONS. - We live in the age of distraction. Everywhere is Distractions - that take our focus - our productivity – and that means loss.

we are much, much more productive when we focus on ONE thing. If you want to become successful in any area of life – then priority number one is to take control over your distractions. when you focus – You are more creative - more effective - more fulfilled – motivated – and inspired life

If you’re reading this, I assume you are an ambitious person. You see that there is abundance in this world and understand that you are worthy of having it in your life.

Sometimes your goals are so big that you take no action at all. At that time break those goals into mini-goals. Then focus all your attention on the mini-goal. Something magical will happen. Mini-goals give you the opportunity to reach your big goal.

Focus is like a muscle. The more you work it, the stronger it’ll get. Now that you understand why focus is so important, take a look at the time what is distractions? what are the biggest distractions that pull you out of that mode?

A 2008 study at The British Institute of Psychiatry showed that checking your email while performing another creative task decreases your IQ at that moment by 10 points. The same is with face book and whatsapp. Yet we willingly put ourselves in a state by distractions while we work! Therefore when you are working, you need to completely immerse yourself in the task at hand. Control those distractions of emails – face book or whatsapp.

Say to yourself, “after doing an hour of work, I give permission to myself to respond to emails – face book or whatsapp /surf the web/socialize with co-workers.”

Disengaging is vitally important because how you spend your free time is just as important as how you spend your working time - That you refresh and energise. If you have to work long hours, disengaging during free time is even more important. It’s essential for peak performance.

Okay, now, be honest – getting the benefit of taking time for yourself? you completely get the power of engagement! By getting focus you can get anything. BE SERIOUS.

I will never forget what my old headmaster told taught me. Normally when you are only 15 years of age you do not remember most of the things that are preached by your teachers. But, this particular story is one such lesson that I will never forget. Every time I drift off course, I get reminded of this story.

It was a normal Monday morning at an assembly, and he was addressing the students on important things in life and about committing ourselves to what is important to us. This is how the story went:

An old man lived in a certain part of London, and he would wake up every morning and go to the subway. He would get the train right to Central London, and then sit at the street corner and beg. He would do this every single day of his life. He sat at the same street corner and begged for almost 20 years.

His house was filthy, and a stench came out of the house and it smelled horribly. The neighbors could not stand the smell anymore, so they summoned the police officers to clear the place. The officers knocked down the door and cleaned the house. There were small bags of money all over the house that he had collected over the years.

The police counted the money, and they soon realized that the old man was a millionaire. They waited outside his house in anticipation to share the good news with him. When he arrived home that evening, he was met by one the officers who told him that there was no need for him to beg any more as he was a rich man now, a millionaire.

He said nothing at all; he went into his house and locked the door. The next morning he woke up as usual, went to the subway, got into the train, and sat at the street corner and continued to beg.

Obviously, this old man had no great plans, dreams or anything significant for his life. We learn nothing from this story other than staying focused on the things we enjoy doing, commitment.

We should remain true to our course; which may mean committing yourselves to things that people around you would normally disapprove. Let nothing distract us from being happy, let nothing else determine our fate, but ourselves.

What makes us happy is what matters in the end, not what we acquire.

The difference between the rich and the poor is not in how much money they have, but in the way they talk, the way they act and the way they think. The way you think is what you have created in your mind. The way you talk and act is what you express in to outer world. If you want to be fully wealthy, you must be fully aligned in your thoughts, speech and actions. Half alignment results in half wealth. Poor people communicate lack- scarcity in every way while rich people communicate abundance in every way...

Your environment affect your consciousness. Everything that you see around you will subconsciously impress upon you the thinking of poverty or wealth. The more broken stuff you are, the more you will feel lack. When you keep signs of abundance in your environment, your subconscious mind will be constantly impressed with the idea of abundance. By feeling abundance, you will perpetuate the conditions of abundance in your reality...

The subconscious impression of abundance creates conditions of abundance. Seeing abundance in one area creates a mental shift and allows you to start seeing and feeling more abundance in your entire life. Whatever area in your life you have right now that makes you feel rich and powerful, create more of rich and power.

Use this thinking to affect other thing. The key is to get more references of abundance for you to be conscious of so as to impress upon your subconscious mind as much as possible the reality of abundance...

Your actions either create subconscious impressions of wealth or poverty. By choosing to buy the best and quality products for yourself, you are saying that you are worth it, that you are the best. you simply spend in a way that makes you truly happy... Your subconscious mind will pick up these impressions from your actions and create conditions in your life that makes state of mind rich. To manifest wealth, you must begin with living as though you are already wealthy.

Many bosses assume that a leader needs to be aloof and tough on employees in order to be effective. They fear that looking "soft" will erode their employee's motivation and respect for them. To prove their case, they cite examples of brilliant leaders who modeled a tough leadership style, such as Steve Jobs, who berated his employees.
When it comes to success as a leader, radically tough leadership styles are exceptions to the rule, not the rule. Recent research has shown that overly tough bosses create significant health and motivation problems in their employees, which will make you think twice about taking the tough-as-nails approach.
Overly tough bosses create stress, and lots of it, as the research shows: A University of London study found an especially strong link between heart disease and boss-inflicted stress, while a University of Concordia study found that employees who rate themselves as highly stressed added 46% to their employer's health care costs. Research from the Institute of Naval Medicine found that overly tough bosses cause people to seek jobs elsewhere, to perform at a lower level, to decline promotions, and even to quit. Finally, a survey from Randstad Consulting showed that most employees would trade in their bosses for better ones rather than receive a $5,000 pay raise. People don't leave jobs; they leave bad bosses.
The thing is, nice bosses don't just prevent health and motivational problems among their employees; they create massive benefits that hard-nosed bosses can't. A California State Long Beach study found that leaders who treat their teams fairly have far more cohesive and productive teams and that the individuals in those teams perform better. Research from the University of Virginia found that leaders who were considered "self-sacrificing" and "helpful" were viewed as especially inspirational and motivational and their employees were more helpful to their colleagues and more committed to their teams.
So, what exactly does a "nice" boss look like, and how does one pull this off without being a push over? Let's find out.
1. They're kind without being weak. One of the toughest things for leaders to master is kindness. It's a balancing act, and the key to finding balance is to recognize that true kindness is inherently strong—it's direct and straightforward. Telling people the difficult truth they need to hear is much kinder than protecting them (or yourself) from a difficult conversation. This is weak. Also, true kindness doesn't come with expectations. Kindness is thin when you use it in a self-serving manner—people can see right through kindness when a kind leader has an agenda.
2. They're strong without being harsh. Strength is an important quality in a leader. People will wait to see if a leader is strong before they decide to follow his or her lead or not. People need courage in their leaders. They need someone who can make difficult decisions and watch over the good of the group. They need a leader who will stay the course when things get tough. People are far more likely to show strength themselves when their leader does the same.
A lot of leaders mistake domineering, controlling, and otherwise harsh behavior for strength. They think that taking control and pushing people around will somehow inspire a loyal following. Strength isn't something you can force on people; it's something you earn by demonstrating it time and again in the face of adversity. Only then will people trust that they should follow you.
3. They're confident, without being cocky. We gravitate to confident leaders because confidence is contagious, and it helps us to believe that there are great things in store. The trick, as a leader, is to make certain your confidence doesn't slip into arrogance and cockiness. Confidence is about passion and belief in your ability to make things happen, but when your confidence loses touch with reality, you begin to think you can do things you can't and have done things you haven't. Suddenly it's all about you. This arrogance makes you lose credibility.
Great, confident leaders are still humble. They don't allow their accomplishments and position of authority to make them feel that they're better than anyone else. As such, they don't hesitate to jump in and do the dirty work when needed, and they don't ask their followers to do anything they aren't willing to do themselves.
4. They stay positive, but remain realistic. Another major challenge that leaders face is finding the balance between keeping things positive and still being realistic. Think of a sailboat with three people aboard: a pessimist, an optimist, and a great leader. Everything is going smoothly until the wind suddenly sours. The pessimist throws his hands up and complains about the wind; the optimist sits back, saying that things will improve; but the great leaders says, "We can do this!" and he adjusts the sails and keeps the ship moving forward. The right combination of positivity and realism is what keeps things moving forward.
5. They're role models, not preachers. Great leaders inspire trust and admiration through their actions, not just their words. Many leaders say that integrity is important to them, but great leaders walk their talk by demonstrating integrity every day. Harping on people all day long about the behavior you want to see has a tiny fraction of the impact you achieve by demonstrating that behavior yourself.
6. They're willing to take a bullet for their people. The best leaders will do anything for their teams, and they have their people's backs no matter what. They don't try to shift blame, and they don't avoid shame when they fail. They're never afraid to say, "The buck stops here," and they earn people's trust by backing them up. Great leaders also make it clear that they welcome challenges, criticism, and viewpoints other than their own. They know that an environment where people are afraid to speak up, offer insights, and ask good questions is destined for failure.
7. They balance work and fun. There are plenty of bosses out there who know how to have fun. Unfortunately, this is often at the expense of results. And for every boss out there who has a bit too much fun, there's one who doesn't know how to have any fun at all. It takes a kind, but balanced leader to know how to motivate and push employees to be their best but to also have the wherewithal to slow it down at the appropriate time in order to celebrate results and have fun. This balance prevents burnout, builds a great culture, and gets results.
8. They form personal connections. Even in a crowded room, kind leaders make people feel like they're having a one-on-one conversation, as if they're the only person in the room that matters. And, for that moment, they are. Kind leaders communicate on a very personal, emotional level. They never forget that there's a flesh-and-blood human being standing in front of them.
9. They deliver feedback flawlessly. It takes a tactful leader to deliver feedback that is accurate and objective but also considerate and inspirational. Leaders who are kind know how to take into account the feelings and perspectives of their employees while still delivering the message they need to hear in order to improve.
10. They're generous. Great leaders are generous. They share credit and offer enthusiastic praise and they're as committed to their followers' success as they are to their own. They want to inspire all their employees to achieve their personal best—not just because it will make the team more successful, but because they care about each person as an individual.

Each season, grasses, flowers, shrubs, and trees let a part of themselves go in the form of seeds. Every one of those seeds is a point of life, containing the full potential of the parent. In the quest to find a rooting spot, they are buffeted by winds, parched by sun, and soaked by rain. And, as likely as not, they find cement or stone rather than fertile soil. Yet each season, the seeds find what purchase they can and put forth their roots, slowly creating more space for themselves and pushing ever upward, even when the new world they discover is harsh and unpredictable. Seedlings are small, but a single plant can widen a crack in a sidewalk or turn a rock to dust through nothing more than patient perseverance.

In our lives, it is not uncommon to find ourselves cast into the wind, through our own choices or through fate. We are blown hither and thither by fear, uncertainty, and the influence of others. If we do find purchase, the obstacles we face may seem insurmountable and the challenges too much to bear. When this happens, look around you and note the seemingly desolate and inhospitable places in which plants have thrived. Given little choice, they set down their roots and hold on tightly, making the best of their situation. Then look at your own circumstances. Ask yourself if there is an unimagined source of strength that you can tap into. Look toward the future. Imagine a time in which you have widened a place for yourself and have flourished through your difficulties.

The smallest things in life, like the tiny sprouts, given time and the will to forge on, can overcome any circumstance and break down huge barriers. It can be tempting, however, when faced with rough or uncertain odds, to give up, to change direction, or to choose the easiest path. But within you, there exists the same resolve and fortitude as displayed in these courageous plants. You, too, in finding yourself in a tight spot, can look ever upward, grabbing hold where you can, using your determination to reach toward new heights.

First of all, understand discontentment. Discontent is caused by a constant multiplication of desires. One desire leads to another until there's never a moment when you feel fulfilled. Desires are like traps. Because of endless desires relationships have become very fragile. There is a lot of irritability and anger due to:
• Selfish attachments (to possessions and people)
• Pride (attachment to a particular image of the self)
When there is discontentment, the heart can never be still because wasteful, negative thoughts destroy peace.
Contentment is the result of spiritual awareness which allows you to recognise negativity. It changes your pattern of thinking. As you tap your huge inner potential, all desires are fulfilled and you regain your peace.

What is the difference between a resume and a CV?

The primary differences between a resume and a curriculum vitae (CV) are length, what is included, and what each is used for. While both are used in job applications, a resume and a CV are not always interchangeable.

What is a Curriculum Vitae?

Like a resume, a curriculum vitae (CV) provides a summary of one’s experience and skills. Typically, CVs are longer than resumes - at least two or three pages.

CVs include information on one’s academic background, including teaching experience, degrees, research, awards, publications, presentations, and other achievements. CVs are thus much longer than resumes, and include more information, particularly related to academic background.

A curriculum vitae summary is a one-to-two-page, condensed version of a full curriculum vitae. A CV summary is a way to quickly and concisely convey one’s skills and qualifications. Sometimes large organizations will ask for a one-page CV summary when they expect a large pool of applicants.

What is a Resume?

A resume provides a summary of your education, work history, credentials, and other accomplishments and skills. There are also optional sections, including a resume objective and career summary statement. Resumes are the most common document requested of applicants in job applications.
A resume should be as concise as possible.
Typically, a resume is one page long, although sometimes it can be as long as two pages. Often resumes include bulleted lists to keep information concise.
Resumes come in a few types, including chronologicalfunctional, and combination formats. Select a format that best fits the type of job you are applying for.

When to Use a CV

Edit, edit, edit. No matter whether you use a CV or resume, you need to thoroughly edit your document. Make sure there are no spelling or grammatical errors. Also make sure your format is uniform – for example, if you use bullet points in one job description, use bullet points in all your job descriptions.

Leadership can be defined in many ways. How we define leadership impacts our destiny, the future of our team, and the growth of our organizations. The best way to understand the different views of leadership is to ask others - "How do you see leadership?" Just as Rick Warren discusses, many of the responses to this question come in the form of metaphors. Leaders are coaches, mentors, and ATMs. Leadership is an obstacle course, a family, and a game.
How do you view leadership? What is your leadership metaphor? Whether consciously or subconsciously, this metaphor greatly influences our leadership. If we view leaders as ATMs, then our main focus will be making money. If we view leadership as a family, we will be focused on building and sustaining relationships.

  • Leadership is a test. "Character is both developed and revealed by tests, and all of life is a test." As leaders, we are always being tested. Our team tests our patience, visionary skills, knowledge of the industry, and strategic planning abilities. Our boss tests how we handle feedback, determine goals, and react in times of chaos. When we think about leadership as a test, nothing is insignificant - everything is important to growth and character development. The great news is that our supporters want us to pass the test!
  • Leadership is a trust. Companies trust us with knowledge, resources, and talent. Unless you are a business owner, we don't really own anything and we definitely don't own people. We have been entrusted to manage and take care of those that we lead. If we are untrustworthy with our team and resources as a leader, why would anyone trust us with additional responsibilities in the future? "The more we are given, the more responsibility is expected."
  • Leadership is a temporary assignment. Our leadership assignments are rarely permanent. The world is changing too fast for one person to maintain personal and professional growth in one position. Our teams are not permanent, the company is not permanent ... things change. Don't get too attached to what is around you. We must learn, grow, and understand that, if we are purpose-driven leaders, we are always preparing for something better.

A conversation between Wayne Dyer and his student:

"If I were to squeeze this orange as hard as I could, what would come out?" I asked him.

He looked at me like I was a little crazy and said, "Juice, of course".

"Do you think apple juice could come out of it?"

'No! he laughed.

'What about grapefruit juice?'


'What would come of it?'

'Orange juice, of course'

'Why? Why when you squeeze an orange does orange juice comes out?'

He may have been getting a little exasperated with me at this point.

"Well, it's an orange and that's what's inside."

I nodded.

"Let's assume that this orange isn't an orange, but it's you. And someone squeezes you, puts pressure on you, says something you don't like, offends you. 
And out of you comes anger, hatred, bitterness etc. Why?

The answer, as our young friend has told us, is "because that's what's inside".

It's one of the great lessons of life.

What come out
when life squeezes you? When someone hurts or offends you?
If anger, pain and fear come out of you, it's because that's what's inside.

It doesn't matter who does the squeezing: your mother, your brother, your children, the government.

If someone says something about you that you don't like, what comes out of you is what's inside. 
And what's inside is up to you, it's your choice.

When someone puts the pressure on you and out of you comes anything other than love, it's because that's what you've allowed to be inside.

Once you take away all those negative things you don't want in your life and replace them with love, you'll find yourself living a highly functioning life.

Many years ago, a newlywed young man was sitting on a couch on a hot, humid day, sipping frozen juice during a visit to his father.

As he talked about adult life, marriage, responsibilities, and obligations, the father thoughtfully stirred the ice cubes in his glass and cast a clear, sober look on his son.

"Never forget your friends," he advised, "they will become more important as you get older."

"Regardless of how much you love your family and the children you happen to have, you will always need friends. Remember to go out with them occasionally, do activities with them, call them ..."

"What strange advice!" Thought the young man. "I just entered the married world, I am an adult and surely my wife and the family that we will start will be everything I need to make sense of my life."

Yet he obeyed his father; Kept in touch with his friends and annually increased their number. Over the years, he became aware that his father knew what he was talking about.

Inasmuch as time and nature carry out their designs and mysteries on a man, friends were the bulwarks of his life.

After 50 years of life, here is what he learned:

Time passes.
Life goes on.
The distance separates.
Children grow up.
Children cease to be children and become independent. And to the parents it breaks the heart but the children are separated of the parents.
Jobs come and go.
Illusions, desires, attraction, sex ... weaken.
People do not do what they should do.
The heart breaks.
The parents die.
Colleagues forget the favors.
The races are over.

But, true friends are always there, no matter how long or how many miles they are.

A friend is never more distant than the reach of a need, barring you, intervening in your favor, waiting for you with open arms or blessing your life.

When we started this adventure called LIFE, we did not know of the incredible joys or sorrows that were ahead. We did not know how much we would need from each other. 

Love your parents, take care of your children, but keep a group of good friends. Dialogue with them but do not impose your criteria.

LAS VEGAS — The smartphone is often called the real-world version of the handheld communicators from the original Star Trek, a nod to how prescient the TV series was about personal technology.
Well, another Star Trek gadget is on the verge of becoming common. The tricorder — the device that Spock and Dr. McCoy would use to analyze all kinds of objects and materials on the show — is becoming a real thing. And it's coming to smartphones.

Say you're at at the supermarket and you want to check how fresh the tomatoes are. Instead of squeezing them, you'd just launch the SCiO app, hold the scanner up to the skin of the tomato, and it will tell you how fresh it is on a visual scale. Do the same thing to your body and you can check your body mass index (BMI). You need to specify the thing you're scanning at the outset, and the actually analysis is performed in the cloud, but the whole process is a matter of seconds, not minutes.
Another application is verifying the authenticity of drugs. At a demo at CES, I saw the phone scan what I was told was a real Viagra pill and a knock-off. To the naked eye the pills looked identical, both light-blue diamond-shaped pills. But the H2's SCiO scanner recognized the impostor in seconds, calling it out with a bright orange screen.

It's easy to see the great potential of putting this kind of tech into the hands of everyone with a smartphone. Consumers everywhere would be empowered to test food and medicine before they commit to buying or ingesting them. Hagai Heshes, head of product marketing for Consumer Physics, says adding the sensor to a phone doesn't increase cost much, and judging from the price of the Changhong H2, it appears he's right. The company also claims the phone is 20% more energy efficient than comparable smartphones.
Will Consumer Physics' molecular sensor catch on with the major smartphone manufacturers? That would take some convincing (though Heshes says the company is talking to them), but it's easy to see a brand like Samsung, which has historically debuted phones with all kinds of unusual tech, taking a chance on the sensor or one of its models.
And if that model catches on, who knows? Maybe we'll all be scanning our groceries and bodies with our phones five years from now with the same ease with which Dr. McCoy would diagnose a case of Romulan measles.

A farmer in ancient China had a neighbour who was a hunter, and who owned ferocious and poorly trained hunting dogs. 
They jumped over the fence frequently and chased the farmer's lambs. 

The farmer asked his neighbour to keep his dogs in check, but this fell on deaf ears. 

One day the dogs again jumped the fence, attacked and severely injured several of the lambs. 

The farmer had had enough, and went to town to consult a judge who listened carefully to the story and said: "I could punish the hunter and instruct him to keep his dogs chained or lock them up. But you would lose a friend and gain an enemy. Which would you rather have, friend or foe for a neighbour?" 

The farmer replied that he preferred a friend. 

“Alright, I will offer you a solution that keeps your lambs safe, and which will keep your a neighbour a friend." 

Having heard the judge's solution, the farmer agreed. 

Once at home, the farmer immediately put the judge's suggestions to the test. 

He took three of his best lambs and presented them to his neighbour's three small sons, who were beside themselves with joy and began to play with them. 

To protect his son's newly acquired playthings, the hunter built a strong kennel for his dogs. 

Since then, the dogs never again bothered the farmer's lambs. 

Out of gratitude for the farmer's generosity toward his sons, the hunter often shared the game he had hunted with the farmer. 

The farmer reciprocated by sending the hunter the cheese he had made. 

Within a short time the neighbours became good friends. 

A saying in old China went something like this, 

“One can win over and influence people the best with gestures of kindness and compassion.” 

A similar Western saying: 

“One catches more flies with honey than with vinegar."

Let us make an effort  to be polite when we speak and not make rude and sarcastic remarks at every opportunity we get, especially with our families, friends and colleagues

Couples are on a long journey together. "The opportunity to learn to love is immense,". Marriage is a dynamic experience. "You have to keep having these conversations for the rest of your life,". "You don't wish a house, you build a house." being together should be fun. "So many people work their partners to death, work their problems to death," adding that play, intimacy and ease are important.

1. There's no such thing as Mr. or Ms. Right for you...

2. Talk isn't cheap: it's your most valuable investment.
Good, regular communication is the key to a good marriage. talking creates connection, empathy and intimacy.

3. A relationship is like a car: you need to change the oil every three months.
"How are we doing?" conversation every three months, no matter how long you have been married.

4. Being emotional is better than being rational.
relationships are by their nature emotional, not rational, so don't build a case with facts and figures -- focus on your feelings and the rest will follow.

5. No one "wins" unless you both do.
If it's about feelings, then nobody's right -- or wrong. It's a conversation, not a fight, so stop trying to win. "When you are into a win-lose pattern, you are both going to lose."

6. How you feel is up to you.
"There is probably nothing more important in a relationship than the art of making yourself happy," How? Take responsibility for your own thoughts and feelings. In some ways this has little to do with your partner. Instead of blaming others for how you feel realize that how you feel is up to you. You can choose to be angry or annoyed, or you can choose not to be. It's not what happens, it's what you make it mean.

7. Women aren't from Venus and men aren't from Mars.
Who talks more? Women? No. Studies show men talk more and interrupt more. Maybe your husband wants to be held more, maybe he needs to talk about his worries at work or his concerns about aging. You're more alike than you think!

8. When you argue, it should be all about you.
This powerful communication tool is simple: You know your own thoughts and feelings best, so stick to that. Don't tell your partner "how they think, or what they should or shouldn't be. This is being in the "other person's business."

"As soon as you start using the word you, you immediately just piss the other person off," he says. "There's no faster way to make another adult angry than to tell them what they think or feel... that you are more of an expert on their internal state than they are."

So stick to I.O.U. (I Over You) language -- say I think, I feel and I need. (The only exception is when you use you in a question: What do you want? What do you think?)

9. It's not about money. It's about what you think about money.
Every person has a financial style -- some people live for today, others want to save for tomorrow. "Neither is right or wrong," So, the key is to stop trying to win and figure out what makes each person comfortable when it comes to money.

10. Sex. It's mostly about talking... and fun.

At the end of a long, stressful day at work, after the homework, the lessons and the lunches, who has the time or the energy for sex? Assuming both people want more sex, the solution is to think more openly about sex and to talk about it. Sexual problems usually get solved not in the bedroom, but talking in the kitchen.

When one person wants sex more often than the other, the main advice is still to talk about it. The couple may have misunderstandings about what they are doing, what they want to do and what they could do. Talking openly, honestly and without fear is a start.

Google Maps already shows you much traffic there is on the way to your destination and therefore what is the best possible route to choose. It can also give you a pretty accurate estimated time of arrival, which can be really helpful at times.
However, what you never anticipate is whether or not you will be able to find parking when you reach your destination.
Thankfully, in a Google Maps update v9.44 beta, you will now be able to see the parking difficulty at your destination.

How Does It Work

When you search for a destination, a little “P” shows up next to your route duration estimate. It uses three indicators to let you know about the traffic conditions:
  • Easy,
  • Medium,
  • Limited.
It is actually color-coded so when the parking is “limited”, the icon will show up in a red color. The “easy” and “medium” will show up as a blue icon. Once you start driving around, it gives you further details, indicating that parking around your destination is “usually not easy” or “limited”.

The parking availability isn’t actually shown in real-time but instead gives you the information based on the usual conditions that you would expect to find at your destination.
It doesn’t even lead you into the parking space but at the very least, it gives you enough information for you to decide whether you want to take the chance to try and find parking over there or not.


The new parking indicator is still rolling out to a some users who are on the Maps beta. If you are already a beta tester, you can download the app straight away and test it out. In case you are not, you can register as a tester over here.
Or you can just download the APK from here and install it right away.
As mentioned before, the feature is gradually rolling out so it might be possible for you to not see it right away. Availability in Pakistan will also be limited and so far no parking spots are showing up. Continue watching this space for more updates.

As leaders, one of our biggest goals is to develop a positive, collaborative, and fun culture within our teams, work groups, and organizations. Thought leaders drive home the notion of communication, culture ownership, prioritization, and structure to build "great culture." Without undercutting the importance of these initiatives, I think we are missing the small behaviors that contribute to the creation of an amazing culture.

Steve Jobs once said "We've got to make the small things unforgettable," and while he was talking about technology and innovation not culture, the advice is no less applicable today. We need to shift our mindset to build a culture that values the small things, creating a culture that smiles. :)
  • Respect everyone - Deep respect, appreciation, and kindness in loving people as humans and as individuals. As a leader, if we come from a place of love, it will naturally shape how we communicate and deliver on the small things important to our teams.
  • Trust first, doubt later - Trust your team. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Allow them to exceed our expectations. Don't be a micro-manager, hovering over every move. Give them space to make mistakes and space to excel. Trusting our teams will show appreciation for their contribution, a small step with a large impact.
  • Fully support business initiatives - While we may have some reservations, teams look to see how we implement change - good or bad. Help explain the "whys" behind decisions. Be positive about future possibilities. Give 110% to making the change a success. Remember, quality of change X communication of change = success of change!
  • Praise and thank continually - Need I say more? We don't understand how important this is for our teams. A "great job today" and a "thank you" change dinner table conversations and mean the world to our teams.
  • Leverage talents - We need to recognize the individual talents of our teams. Give them opportunities to shine. Appreciate diversity - not just on the surface, but diversity of ideas, background, and beliefs.
