No law would be effective until and unless adequate punishment is imposed for violating law. Imposing fine or financial penalty is not enough. Prison time should be mandated as many of these crimes are premeditated.

Rudranarasimham Rebbapragada
Ann Arbor, MI 48104-4162 USARudranarasimham Rebbapragadanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468283119272900835.post-27005525649080100232016-05-26T13:52:47.831+04:002016-05-26T13:52:47.831+04:00Dear Mukund,

However you would also agree that each business have certain code of conduct, certain quality policies, certain sentimental values and certain humanitarian grounds. Having said that, in the desire of earning more and more money, one should not be allowed to deceive people. If a person needs medicine-1 only and he is sold medincine2, 3, 4, 5 is a pure act of fraud. Looking at it on a larger scale, its a huge case of corruption. Converting a normal stitching case into a large scale surgical case is equivalent to financial killing of a poor family . Businesses should be done on a WIN-WIN case not on a WIN-KILL base.

Thanks for your comments :)

RegardsDailyTenMinuteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06246989241769921484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468283119272900835.post-35575889200894917842016-05-26T13:46:59.993+04:002016-05-26T13:46:59.993+04:00Dear Sir,
The patients have need of me...Dear Sir,

The patients have need of medicine/s to cure their affliction and the hospitals and doctors are fulfilling these needs, Is this not a business relationship? In the world of Materialism the relationship of patients and hospitals/doctors is like business/consumers only is it not? The hospitals are established so that they can earn profit and distribute amongst the shareholders and Directors of the Institution, is it not? How can they function if not on business Principles? So hospitals function as business only. Surely its employees (the doctors on their role) will surely have the responsibility to improve the income of their employer, is anything wrong in this? When we (Bhaarateey Government & Administration as well is following materialism, how can we stop thinking that hospitals and doctors should function to help patients and on business ways? We have discarded our Spirituality since Independence (at least) in 1947.

So we have come far away from our culture and ancient systems. In case we want to be as our ancients (happy and comfortable), we need to declare our culture to be Bhaarateey one with immediate effect for all people staying in Bhaarat (at least), then only we can find better relationships between the people and institutions fulfilling their needs (as co-operative) friendly relationships not depending on payments, don't you also agree sir?

With regards,

------Mukund ApteMukund Aptenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468283119272900835.post-85727105498905944262016-05-26T12:35:55.736+04:002016-05-26T12:35:55.736+04:00absolutely right. the problem in sub-continent is ...absolutely right. the problem in sub-continent is that people get trapped easily due to emotional situation created by doctors/nurses here. They create an emergency situation for the patient's family and make them opt for quick and costly decision.

yes, a lot of awareness and education is required so they consider taking 2nd opinion. This is unfortunate that over the years, medical industry has become a huge money-making business instead of service industry. Some sorts of mechanisms must be in place by respective regulatory authorities to eradicate the money-making mechanism by stopping unfair costly medications/procedures.DailyTenMinuteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06246989241769921484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468283119272900835.post-28109611377989290562016-05-26T12:34:46.783+04:002016-05-26T12:34:46.783+04:00This is why the people must be educated regarding ...This is why the people must be educated regarding this & must be taught how to make the decision only after thinking & getting 2 more opinions. This is going on not only in surgery, but also in general medicine. The people who are being diagnosed with diabetes is really ridiculous... I have seen people in India being treated with medications as dangerous as metformin for an AgA1C level of 6.3... the cut off is >7, at least hear in America... Why are the Indians falling into this trap? They won't even listen... I tried talking to 1 of the patients who was having frequent episodes of hypoglycemia on her current medication regimen.PA - Nurse - USAnoreply@blogger.com
