Keeping others truly happy is one of the clearest signs of God’s presence in your heart. Spreading and nurturing happiness is a natural human instinct that aligns with the universal principles of the Divine.
It’s important to remember that making someone laugh is not the same as making them happy. Laughter is only a small fragment of happiness. A quick joke, a light comment, or a sitcom might bring a smile, but this feeling fades quickly. The real achievement lies in sustaining happiness in others over the long term, which reflects your genuine character and your deep sense of care and love.
Here are some questions to assess yourself through the lens of others’ behavior toward you:
-
Do people often appreciate you for your kind words and thoughtful actions?
-
Do they make an effort to stay in touch with you through calls, texts, or emails?
-
Do they trust you enough to share personal struggles and seek your advice?
-
Do they confide their secrets in you, believing you will keep them safe?
-
Do people see you as:
-
A soft-hearted person?
-
An empathetic listener?
-
A helping hand?
-
A conflict solver?
-
-
Do people feel they’ve learned moral, social, financial, or ethical lessons from you? Do they see you as a source of inspiration and positivity?
If your answer to most of these questions is “no,” it may be time to consciously work on bringing lasting happiness into the lives of others. This, in turn, will draw you closer to God’s blessings. Remember: true happiness is not just about creating laughter—it is about cultivating lasting contentment and tranquillity in someone’s heart through your consistent love, care, and kindness.
