Sugar coated person or a genuine human being?

While reading an article on a blog, the following lines caught my attention:
"Remember the next time you decide to give someone a chance whether it be for work or for friendship, go for the real thing and not the sugar-coated one."

These lines triggered some thoughts in my mind on what points to consider in differentiating between a genuine personality and a sugar-coated human. Below are my suggestions:

  1. One or Two Observations Are Not Enough to Conclude:
Take some time. It’s essential to spend adequate time observing someone before making a judgment about their character. Snap judgments can often be misleading.

  2. Observe Habits, Not Just Actions:
Instead of observing actions, check the habits. Sometimes actions may not portray the genuine inner personality; however, habits can predict the character. Habits trigger repetitive actions which transform into the overall personality.

  3. Understand the Intentions Behind Sugar Coating:
Sometimes sugar coating is not done because of specific evil benefits but may be due to ethical causes. Don’t think negatively about such a person; appreciate their intention instead.

  4. Look for Ethical Characteristics:
Look for ethical characteristics such as honesty, truthfulness, friendliness, and being down-to-earth. These traits are often good indicators of a genuine personality.

  5. Use Your Brain, Not Just Your Eyes:
Instead of using your eyes, use your brain. Think logically and carefully when concluding about someone. Logical thinking and careful consideration can help you see beyond superficial actions to understand the true nature of a person.

By keeping these suggestions in mind, you can better differentiate between someone who is genuinely trustworthy and someone who might only appear to be so on the surface
