Story: The Answer is D

Imagine You're eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears.

After scolding her, you turn to your wife and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your wife must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 80 km an hour in a 60 kmph speed limit. After a 15 minute delay and paying a $60 traffic fine, you arrived at school. Your daughter runs to the building without saying good-bye.

After arriving at the office 30 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to going home. When you arrive home you find a small wedge in your relationship with your wife and daughter. Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the traffic policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?
The answer is D.

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say "It's OK honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase. You come back down in time look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You and your wife kiss before you both go to work. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good a day you are having. Notice the difference. Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different. Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% is determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 secret:
If someone says something negative about you, do not be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out, etc.
How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound the steering wheel till it fall off? Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the blue car ruin your drive.

Remember the 90-10 principle, and do not worry about it! You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep or get irritated? It will work out. Channel your energy and time into finding another job. The plane is late. It is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why vent out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to read, get to know the other passengers, etc. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 secret. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results.

WhatsApp Gets 2 Factors Authentication Feature

WhatsApp beta constantly receives updates which are often either taken down or are limited to only a few lucky users.

Video calling feature was recently added to the last beta version which would become available by deleting the data and resetting WhatsApp. This time, although it is not a major feature, WhatsApp is getting two new features in the beta.

One of them is 2 factor authentication. Usually when you register a WhatsApp account you are sent a code to activate it via SMS. With 2 factor authentication, your email address will also need to be linked to your account. This will further strengthen the security of your account with nobody being able to use your number for WhatsApp without your knowledge (by stealing the code).

How to Enable 2-step Verification

Here’s how it works, first you need to go to settings and then in account settings. You will see the two step verification option there.
2-step-verification-1
Once you tap on it you will be prompted to enable 2 step verification. After that you will be sent a 6 digit passcode which you will need to enter in the next step.
2-step-verification-2
You will then be asked to enter your email address to complete the 2 step verification setup.
2-step-verification-3
When completed successfully you will be shown this message.
2-step-verification-4
Now whenever you change your phone and need to activate WhatsApp on your number again, 2 step verification will ask you your email address and will send you the pass code on it.

Play Audio messages in Background

Another new feature added to the recent beta versions of WhatsApp is the ability to play audio messages in the background. You had to stay within the conversation or group the audio message was in to listen to it. Now you can switch conversations and even switch apps while listening to audio messages. However if the screen turns off the message will stop playing.
Take note that these two features are available on the beta version for now. Beta versions are liable to contain bugs and glitches and should not be used as your default app. If you know the risks and are still willing to use it, you can download the APK from APK Mirror.

Inspiration: What You Already Know

You already know the importance of discipline, integrity, perseverance, patience and positive focus. You've experienced their benefits, and you've experienced the pain of their absence.

Yet your attention is often overwhelmed by the moment, and you too often abandon the sensibility that you already have. So make a conscious effort to remember. The good things are already yours to the extent that you recall and appreciate their goodness.

Success in life flows from the gratitude and appreciation of those qualities which make success possible. There have been times when you've expressed each of those qualities with your thoughts and actions. Had you not done so, you wouldn't have made it this far.

Latch on to the qualities which bring true fulfillment. Clearly and fully recall their value so as to remind yourself how very much you desire them and the fruits they bring. Remember what you already know and let it guide you to achieve.

The Japanese Are Developing Artificial Blood!

Miwa got the idea of manufacturing artificial blood back in 2008, incidentally enough, at a school reunion when he met childhood friend Hiromistu Nakauchi. Nakauchi, at that point of time, was working on producing platelets from iPS cells along with Koji Eto, a professor at Kyoto University's Center for iPS Cell Research and Application. Nakauchi apparently told Miwa about the need for commercialising their research - Japan could really be lagging behind the rest of the world in the technology which is why it became imperative that they brought someone from the business world on board and Miwa was the man for the job. With the support and connections of another classmate of theirs, Kazuo Matsunaga who was the vice-president of the economy, trade and industry at that point of time, Megakaryon got funding from the Innovation Network Corp. of Japan, a public-private partnership that promotes innovative businesses. In 2011, their company Megakaryon was officially launched.
The idea, no matter how novel it is, only works when it can provide a solution for the masses. Which is an issue right now because the company can only make a few units of this artificial blood every two weeks. Japan alone requires 800,000 units annually. To make it happen, Megakaryon is working with Japanese drugmakers and manufacturers of materials to create a mass-production system. They aim to start the in vitro production of blood for the masses by 2020. The artificial blood, Miwa believes, will be great for both developing and developed nations as it reduces the risk of spreading infections in places where a proper blood donation and screening system are yet to be established. It will also keep a check on the illegal trading of blood that's become a menace, especially in developing countries.
Scientists and researchers from around the world are being inspired by Japan's research in regenerative medication. In fact, Nikkei.com also reports that Megakaryon has already agreed for a joint research with the Harvard University about the topic.

Increase Your Browsing Speed by Changing DNS Settings

I was facing slow browsing speed at home although speed test was showing good bandwidth. Then I tried updating DNS settings on router level as per this https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/ article and Booooooom. Browsing is much faster after this update. Thanks Google!

Why does DNS matter?

The Domain Name System (DNS) protocol is an important part of the web's infrastructure, serving as the Internet's phone book: every time you visit a website, your computer performs a DNS lookup. Complex pages often require multiple DNS lookups before they start loading, so your computer may be performing hundreds of lookups a day.

Try it out

  • Configure your network settings to use the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers.
  • Or, read our configuration instructions (IPv6 addresses supported too).

If you decide to try Google Public DNS, your client programs will perform all DNS lookups using Google Public DNS.

In addition to traditional DNS over UDP or TCP, we also provide DNS-over-HTTPS API.

Google Public DNS IP addresses

The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:

  • 8.8.8.8
  • 8.8.4.4

The Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows:

  • 2001:4860:4860::8888
  • 2001:4860:4860::8844

You can use either address as your primary or secondary DNS server. You can specify both addresses, but do not specify the same address as both primary and secondary.

Windows

DNS settings are specified in the TCP/IP Properties window for the selected network connection.

Example: Changing DNS server settings on Windows 7

  1. Go to the Control Panel.
  2. Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
  3. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example:
    • To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click Local Area Connection > Properties.
    • To change the settings for a wireless connection, right-click Wireless Network Connection > Properties.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  1. Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and then click Properties.
  2. Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference.
  5. Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers:
    • For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4.
    • For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844.
    • For IPv6-only: you can use Google Public DNS64 instead of the IPv6 addresses in the previous point.
  6. Restart the connection you selected in step 3.
  7. Test that your setup is working correctly; see Test your new settings below.
  8. Repeat the procedure for additional network connections you want to change.

Routers

Every router uses a different user interface for configuring DNS server settings; we provide only a generic procedure below. For more information, please consult your router documentation.

Note: Some ISPs hard-code their DNS servers into the equipment they provide; if you are using such a device, you will not be able to configure it to use Google Public DNS. Instead, you can configure each of the computers connected to the router, as described above.

To change your settings on a router:

  1. In your browser, enter the IP address to access the router's administration console.
  2. When prompted, enter the password to access network settings.
  3. Find the screen in which DNS server settings are specified.
  4. If there are IP addresses specified in the fields for the primary and seconday DNS servers, write them down for future reference.
  5. Replace those addresses with the Google IP addresses:
    • For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4.
    • For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844.
    • For IPv6-only: you can use Google Public DNS64 instead of the IPv6 addresses in the previous point.
  6. Save and exit.
  7. Restart your browser.
  8. Test that your setup is working correctly; see Test your new settings below.

Some routers use separate fields for all eight parts of IPv6 addresses and cannot accept the :: IPv6 abbreviation syntax. For such fields enter:

  • 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8888
  • 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8844

Expand the 0 entries to 0000 if four hex digits are required.

Test your new settings

To test that the Google DNS resolver is working:

  1. From your browser, enter a hostname URL (such as http://www.google.com/). If it resolves correctly, bookmark the page, and try accessing the page from the bookmark.

If all of these tests work, everything is working correctly. If not, go to step 2.

  1. From your browser, type in a fixed IP address. You can use http://216.218.228.119/ (which points to the test-ipv6.com website) as the URL.1
    • If you are using Google Public DNS64 on an IPv6-only system, use http://[64:ff9b::d8da:e477]/ as the URL instead. If this test does not work, you do not have access to a NAT64 gateway at the reserved prefix 64:ff9b::/96 and cannot use Google Public DNS64.
    • If you are using an IPv6-only system without Google Public DNS64, use http://[2001:470:1:18::119]/ as the URL instead.

If this works correctly, bookmark the page, and try accessing the page from the bookmark. If these tests work (but step 1 fails), then there is a problem with your DNS configuration; check the steps above to make sure you have configured everything correctly. If these tests do not work, go to step 3.

  1. Roll back the DNS changes you made and run the tests again. If the tests still do not work, then there is a problem with your network settings; contact your ISP or network administrator for assistance.

If you encounter any problems after setting Google Public DNS as your resolver, please run the diagnostic procedure.

1 Google thanks Jason Fesler for granting permission to use test-ipv6.com URLs for browser DNS testing purposes.

Switch back to your old DNS settings

If you had not previously configured any customized DNS servers, to switch back to your old settings, in the window in which you specified the Google IP addresses, select the option to enable obtaining DNS server addresses automatically, and/or delete the Google IP addresses. This will revert your settings to using your ISP's default servers.

If you need to manually specify any addresses, use the procedures above to specify the old IP addresses.

If necessary, restart your system.

How to Live Happily

I have often thought about what it is that makes people happy—what one has to do in order to achieve happiness.

1- First and foremost is good health.
If you do not enjoy good health, you can never be happy. Any ailment, however trivial, will deduct something from your happiness.

2- Second, a healthy bank balance with Rich Heart
It need not run into crores, but it should be enough to provide for comforts, and there should be something to spare for recreation—eating out, travel and holidays in the hills or by the sea. Shortage of money can be demoralizing but you should feel rich at heart. Learn to share with others even when you don't have anything. Only money is not the wealth you posses; manners, helping others, pampering your loved ones, all these are act of richness. Remember, Living on credit or borrowing is demeaning and lowers one in one’s own eyes.

3- Third, your own home.Rented places can never give you the comfort or security of a home that is yours for keeps. If it has garden space, all the better. Plant your own trees and flowers, see them grow and blossom, and cultivate a sense of kinship with them.

4- Fourth, an understanding companion, be it your spouse or a friend.

If you have too many misunderstandings, it robs you of your peace of mind. It is better to be divorced than to be quarrelling all the time.

5- Fifth- Stop envying those who have done better than you in life—risen higher, made more money, or earned more fame. Envy can be corroding; avoid comparing yourself with others.

6- Sixth, do not allow people to descend on you for gossip.
By the time you get rid of them, you will feel exhausted and poisoned by their gossip-mongering.

7- Seventh, cultivate a hobby or two that will fulfill you
—gardening, reading, writing, painting, playing or listening to music. Going to clubs or parties to get free drinks, or to meet celebrities, is a criminal waste of time. It’s important to concentrate on something that keeps you occupied meaningfully.

8- Eighth
- every morning and evening devote 15 minutes to introspection.
In the mornings, 10 minutes should be spent in keeping the mind absolutely still, and five listing the things you have to do that day. In the evenings, five minutes should be set aside to keep the mind still and 10 to go over the tasks you had intended to do.

9- Ninth -
don’t lose your temper.
Try not to be short-tempered, or vengeful. Even when a friend has been rude, just move on.

10- Above all - when the time comes to go, one should go like a Person without any regret or grievance against anyone.

Message for the day - Check Yourself

To be a leader is to lead by example keeping a watch on every action.

Expression: When someone is clicking a photograph or recording a video of us, there is care taken about every action of ours. We make sure we are able to portray our best. In life too, if we have this consciousness, that I am being watched and I am a role model to everyone, I will be able to set the right example for others.

Experience: Today I will check my actions. I will do at least one thing today that can be as an example for others to follow. For example, when someone shouts or doesn't behave well, I will smile and have a thought of good wish for them.

9 Foods That Will Help Your Headaches!

Those who suffer from frequent headaches no very well that they are incredibly hard to ignore. They ruin everything, from a good time out to reading a book, it's hard to enjoy yourself doing anything when your head is throbbing so bad you feel nauseated.

Headache
But before popping those pills over and over, we'd advise checking out some other reasons and solutions to the problem, such as making sure you are eating things that help your headache instead of making it worse!

1. Baked Potato
Baked potato can alleviate a headache, especially one caused by drinking alcohol. Since alcohol causes an increase in urine, it can cause dehydration and the loss of important electrolytes such as potassium. Eating foods rich in potassium can then ease hangover headaches. A potato with the peel is one of the best sources of this mineral, containing about 720 mg of potassium (to compare, a banana, also rich in potassium, contains about 460 mg).

2. Watermelon
As we said above, dehydration is one of the leading reasons for headaches, so before you take that pill, consider eating foods rich in water, such as the watermelon. There are many fruit and vegetables rich in water and some also contain important minerals such as magnesium, which is considered as an aid against headaches.

3. Coffee
Yes, coffee. The brown liquid we all drink to make it through the day has long since been considered a great folk medicine against headaches. Many headache pills contain caffeine. The secret, however, is moderation. While alcohol makes the blood vessels in our body and head expand, coffee does the opposite, by shrinking them. This way, it can reduce the amount of pain we feel. However, if you drink too much caffeine, you will increase the amount of urine and we're back to dehydration, which in turn will cause more headaches.
So, drink a cup of coffee, no more, or add a cup of water as well.

4. Whole Wheat Bread
People on a diet low in carbohydrates may suffer from frequent headaches, since this kind of diet decreases the body's store of glycogen, which are a main source of energy for the brain. This way, the body loses liquid and gets dehydrated, and then - headaches.
Consider adding some comple carbs to your diet, like those in whole wheat, fruit or yogurt. It may also improve your mood, since it makes the body release serotonin.

5. Almonds
Research shows that the magnesium in almonds may protect the body from headaches by releasing the blood vessels. For those who suffer from migraines, a diet rich in magnesium may bring about great relief. To increase your intake of magnesium, try to consume almonds, bananas, avocado, whole rice etc.

6. Spicy Salsa
This may sound weird, but spicy foods like spicy salsa or hot peppers can help you get rid of that headache that much faster. The question is - what caused the pain. These foods are great at solving pain related to your sinuses. The spicy foods will open the breathingways, which will alleviate the headache.

7. Yogurt
When your head feels like it is aching in a fast throb, it may be your body trying to tell you that it needs calcium to function efficiently. Make sure you have calcium rich foods as part of your diet, like regular greek yogurt with no fat, which is an excellent source of calcium, without any extra fat and sugars with with helpful probiotics.

8. Sesame Seeds
The tiny sesame seeds contain a large amount of vitamin E, which may help stabalize estrogen levels in women and so prevent migrains. Along the fact that it helps with headaches, it may also help with blood circulation. They are also rich in magnesium.

9. Spinach
What works for popeye can work for you as well. Spinach has been proven to reduce blood pressure and deal with hangovers. So if your head is a-throbbing, consider a big salad, and instead of lettuce, use spinach.
Stay well!

Why Most People Fail

Now this pertains to everything what people do as human beings. We fail because we do not have a bigger motivation to achieve our visions. If you remember one of my email in which I mentioned that there are only two ways of motivating anyone (fear or reward, we also call it pain or gain). Most people are not going through the drills of life with enough motivation to achieve the goals they have written for themselves.

If you have successfully written down the goals you have enough brain power to creatively look for opportunities and find ideas to achieve them but if your heart is not motivated to achieve these goals you will find yourself at the crossroads such that your brain will want one thing and your heart wants the other.

I see a lot of people get stuck on the cross roads of life. And we have a system to identify them. We tend to write visions that are ambitious like becoming a CEO, or a rich person, or getting recognized by some award or receiving a PhD degree etc. All of them are nice goals but since most of the most people want to align their visions and goals with their ultimate purpose of life (this world and hereafter), defining success in a very materialistic way and create wrong references without ideological connection may drive them forward in life and get to some success as well, but there is always a feeling of meaninglessness in life.

So the primary reason for most people to fail is that they aim for goals which are not ideologically aligned. They are able to tap into motivation and their brain powers, but they are not driven from their hearts.

You would agree with me that if something comes from your heart, it is more powerful than what comes from influence of others. Also when something comes from heart you are able to give yourself the reason and describing why you want something so much that you will not settle at anything less than that.

We have had some amazing breakthroughs with a lot of people with this simple strategy of value alignment according to ideology and many of you know the stories we share in our workshops. I would like you to seriously think about becoming an inspiring story for millions of people around, with the will of God.

Stay blessed,
Yameenuddin Ahmed.

Invest in People

Have you ever wondered why some individuals, organizations, or countries are more successful than others?

It is not a secret. These people simply think and act more effectively. They have learned how to do so by investing in the most valuable asset--people.
Try to look at your weakness and convert it into your strength. That's success. Believe that the success of an individual, organization or country, depends on the quality of their people

Story: The Friend Losing Pen Quite Often

JRD Tata had a friend who used to say that he misplaces and loses his pen very often.
He will use only very cheap pens so that he need not worry about losing them. He was worried about carelessness habit.
JRD suggested to him to buy the costliest pen he could afford and see what happens.
He did that and purchased a 22 carat gold Cross pen. After nearly six months JRD met him and asked him if he continues to misplace his pen.
His friend said that he is very careful about his costly pen and he is surprised how he has changed!
JRD explained to him that the value of the pen made the difference and there was nothing wrong with him as a person!
This is what happens in our life.
We are careful with things which we value most.
* If we value our health, we will be careful about what and how we eat;
* if we value our friends, we will treat them with respect;
* if we value money, we will be careful while spending;
* if we value our time, we will not waste it.
*if we value relationship we will not break it.
Carefulness is a basic trait all of us have,we know when to be careful!
Carelessness only shows what we don't value......
Have a wonderful n careful life...
